Japanese Design: a book
The book, “Japanese Design: A Collection,” was gestated during 1995 through 1998, and published in 1999. The book evolved from an ongoing collection of images of Japanese design motifs begun during my first days in Japan, from 1981. The impetus to create a book came from Weatherhill in New York. The book is hardcover, 160 pages, and also appears under the imprint of Tuttle Shokai, Tokyo. Copies can be found through Amazon and other sources.
I would like to thank my Japanese antiques guru, Shinzaburo Shibuya, for the loan of some artifacts included in the book, as well as his vast knowledge.
